“Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit” – says the LORD ALMIGHTY!


“So he said to me, ‘This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: “Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,” says the LORD Almighty.’” (Zechariah 4:6)
“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.” (Ephesians 6:18)

It is by God’s Spirit that miracles happen! As God’s people, we want to bring before God in prayer these goals for 2022! We learn from these scriptures we need to “pray in the Spirit on all occasions!” Let us bring these goals before God together daily throughout 2022 and see His Glory unfold by His Spirit!

#1 That every disciple would make another disciple in 2022!

“You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit–fruit that will last–and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.” (John 15:16 )
• Every disciple is personally fruitful! What are you going to do differently to be fruitful in 2022 than you did in 2021? This means disciple will be discipling/mentoring someone new!
• Every disciple “passes” First Principles! We are all going to take First Principles in the first half of 2022! First Principles will be the “lesson” for our midweek services!
• Grow the church to 110+
• Hire 4 new part-time/full-time interns!

#2 Re-establish an impactful Chemical Recovery Ministry!

“Some sat in darkness, in utter darkness, prisoners suffering in iron chains…” (Ps 107:10)
• Addiction is more and more prevalent with the legalization of recreational marijuana. It is imperative that we have a plan to shepherd disciples with this background and “close the back door.” Thanks be to God we are beginning our Chemical Recovery ministry this Spring! #3 Establish an “Arts, Media, Sports” (AMS) ministry!

“…I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some.” (1st Corinthians 9:22) and “For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.” (1st Timothy 4:8)
ARTS: A church choir and church band that plan special performances for our church services, events, and so on. Additionally, the re-establishing of evangelistic open-mics is key!
MEDIA: A clearly built and defined Internet Ministry and Media Production team that effectively captures the spirit and experience of the Kingdom in Phoenix. A publishing schedule that pushes the message consistently and effectively over the most popular social media and streaming platforms. You can help us by liking us on Youtube.com!
SPORTS: Saturday morning fitness devotionals, off-week midweek sessions for available men/women, and some midweeks will be specific sport-centric midweeks (like basketball, volleyball, soccer, softball, and so on). We also pray and plan to leverage our ASU LIFE club’s presence for activities and evangelism. Pray we can plan special sports tournaments for missions fundraising and community outreach.

Building The Character of The Church

The spiritual muscle that is our character must be built-up in Christ!

#4 Build character in the church members overall!

“Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.” (1 Timothy 4:16)
• Take the entire church through the First Principles for midweeks from January 26th through the end of June. First Principles classes will serve as our midweeks.
• Take the Phoenix leadership through the Dodeka series (by Dr. Tim Kernan) starting in late January. (You can purchase the Dodeka booklet on Amazon)
• Reinvigorate discipling times through covering the DOKIME series. This will prepare all of us for our #1 prayer goal—being fruitful! We cannot baptize more if we do not faithfully plan to shepherd and mentor someone! (You can purchase the DOKIME booklet (paperback or Kindle) on Amazon!)
• Life-Skills Ministry establishment: selecting leaders, planning classes, devotionals and evangelistic events. “Life Skills” ministry helps train brothers and sisters on health, fitness, hygiene, resumes, interviewing, budgeting, finances, and time management!
• As a church, we must strive for excellent discipline with COVID protocols, protecting the church, family, friends and guests! Let’s pray to help every disciple do their part so we can consistently meet together safely, righteously, and zealously!

#5 Rebuild The ASU Campus Ministry!

“[Discussions in the lecture hall of Tyrannus] went on [daily] for two years, so that all the Jews and Greeks who lived in the province of Asia heard the word of the Lord.” (Acts 19:10)
• The people Paul took with him “on campus” were not students, nor was Paul! Yet their work together was so effective that it reached the entire province of Asia in the short span of two years. All of us have the heart to share your faith on campus no matter if we are young or old, students, singles, teens, or married!
• Grow the ASU campus ministry by 12 students!
• Pray for more and more workers!

#6 Begin A Spanish Speaking Ministry

“…I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some.” (1 Corinthians 9:22b)
• Over 30% of the population in Phoenix are native Spanish speakers!
• Firstly, establish a Spanish speaking bible talk! Pray for God to make clear the perfect leaders for this role!
• Secondly – at the same time – establish Spanish translation during our services.
• Lastly – ensure that there are Spanish elements in our services (prayers, songs, media subtitles, etc.)

“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” (Ephesians 3:20-21)

Let’s keep in step with the Spirit and pray continually—thankful for what God done in 2021, and ready to renew in 2022!
