Thankful Tuesday!

Tuesday, November 24th, 7:30 PM
Come join us for our congregational midweek service, “Thankful Tuesday!” We will be expressing gratitude to God for His plan, His people, and His will! “Thankful Tuesday” will be a time of sharing, singing, and prayer! Additionally, we will be meeting by household (and some by small groups – aka “bible talks”) to share a dessert and some fellowship! Lastly, we want to set all our hearts to be thankful and ready for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday!

A Thankful Fellowship!

“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.” (Colossians 3:15) God’s word calls us all to be “thankful!” Because of this gratitude, we can have the “peace of Christ” ruling in our hearts! Prayerfully, “Thankful Tuesday” will encourage us to be grateful and joyful even during the COVID pandemic! God’s Word also calls us to “devote [ourselves] to prayer, being watchful and thankful!” (Colossians 4:16) Consistently, the scriptures associate peace as a product of our thanksgiving!

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7) Finally, the bible also connects being thankful to His People, the “Kingdom.”
“Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe…” (Hebrews 12:28)
