It’s [the] week before Christmas! How are you gonna share about all that God has done in your life? How are you gonna handle the persecution? How are you gonna handle being away from the body of Christ? Well, first of all, though you may be away from the body, you NEVER have to be away from Christ. Let’s read Mark 12:
29 “The most important [commandment],” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. 30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ 31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”
The most important thing you have to do during the holidays is NOT shopping or planning the Christmas meal or making the tamales—the most important thing you have to do is to walk humbly with your God every day, and to love him with ALL your heart and ALL your soul and ALL your strength and ALL your mind. And the second most important thing is like the first: to love your neighbors—your family, your friends, your relatives, your old high school friends, your co-workers, etc.—as yourself. If you remember this, and you PRACTICE it, you will have a December to Remember!!!
Prayer: God, no matter what happens over the holidays, let me NOT be far from you! Please, strengthen me every day during my quiet time, and give me wisdom, courage and love to share my faith powerfully and effectively with my family; and help me to be a Christ-like example to all those around me. In Jesus name I pray, AMEN!!! Impossible: I pray that the East Region will have AT LEAST ONE (1) BAPTISM PER WEEK—FOR A GRAND TOTAL OF FIFTY-TWO (52) BAPTISMS FOR 2017—AND THAT THEY’RE ALL WORKERS who will ALL GO into GOD’S HARVEST FIELD!
