Dear All,
Greetings from Texas! Today, the Lord blessed the Dallas-Ft. Worth Inaugural Service with 128 in attendance! Included in this number were the 23 disciples of the DFW Church, about 20 disciples from the Houston Church, and 10 other “visiting disciples!” Tyler preached his best sermon yet – The Purposes Of God! As well, Matt Sullivan gave a moving communion and Job Sterling delivered a powerful contribution message! At the conclusion of the service, Hakeem Olajuwon – not the one you “know” but a recent grad of Indiana State – was baptized through the efforts of the Houston disciples! Continue to pray for the gallant efforts of Tyler & Shay Sears and the DFW International Christian Church!
Also, I received more good news today from Jermaine & Stephanie Peacock of San Diego! At one time, they served the Lord in the ICOC fulltime in Seattle and San Diego. Through the influence of the Spirit and relationships such as Mike Patterson of Gainesville, they have decided to join God’s new movement! Lastly, it was so exciting to hear that our dear friends Gary & Cyndee Ochs were appointed a Shepherding Couple today in San Francisco!
Pray for Luke & Brandyn Speckman who head to Chennai this week to join the Rajans for the Inaugural Service of the Chennai ICC on September 21, 2014! Pray as well for Elena & I as we are off tomorrow to London and then to Manila! And to God be all the glory!
Much love,
Kip McKean
It amazes me to see a new planting with such a high attendance rate- the disciple to visitor ratio is over 1:4! Personally, I can learn from this sort of thing in my own walk with God. As someone who struggles to see God’s plan in everything, this service is particularly faith-building because numbers like those simply don’t occur with man-made groups. I am very excited to see what God will continue to do with this already dynamic church planting; soon, all of the southwest will be evangelized!
