In 1993 – The Internet communicated only 1% of the worlds telecommunication.

By 2000, 51% of the worlds telecommunications was flowing over the Internet.

Now over 97% of the worlds communication is over the Internet.

24 Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples.

25 For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods.

26 For all the gods of the nations are idols, but the Lord made the heavens.

27 Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and joy in his dwelling place.

– We are called to declare God’s glory among the nations, in every word, to every people, on every continent.

– Population of Mexico is over 122 Million, The USA 320 Million, India 1.25 Billion, China 1.35 Billion, The Invisible Continent – the Internet? Over 3.3 Billion

– Over 1 billion users are active on Facebook every single day!

– 83% of the daily users of Facebook are from outside the United States & Canada.  (http://newsroom.fb.com/company-info/)

– We must GO TO THE INVISIBLE CONTINENT, and each disciple, each Facebook page, each twitter account, all we do on the Internet – must be used to advance the gospel!

1 Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done.

2 Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts.

3 Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.

– Does your Internet Presence, both of your church and each disciple, give thanks to the LORD?  Or is it a political platform?

– Does your Internet Presence make known what God has done?  Or is it all about how single you are?

– Does your Internet Presence glory in the Holy Name of our God? Or does it echo the pop culture of the World?

– Does each Facebook page, every profile and site make known among the nations what GOD has done?

– – Jesus commands us to make a disciple, then baptize them, and then their sins are washed away by the blood of Jesus Christ – and then have the very Holy Spirit of God dwelling them!

– – Your old life is dead!  We challenge them with God’s word to throw out their pornography, their drugs, and cut off their relationships based on sin!  We teach them to reconcile with their families and forgive.

– Their old life is DEAD!  Or is it? – HAS your FB been baptized? (1 Cor 15:33-34 Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.” 34 Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for there are some who are ignorant of God — I say this to your shame. )

– – Are there hints of their old life lingering on Facebook!?  Are we calling them to repent of loving the world and representing the world on-line?!

– – – A disciple left up her worldly photos where she was wearing skimpy clothes and then a struggling brother was going through and liking her old photos!

– – – Because our shepherdess shepherds those on-line, This was exposed – the brother got discipled, the sister repented and went back and removed all of the pictures that were immodest….

– – Are we presenting ourselves as immodestly as the world does.  Trying to find the perfect duck-face selfie with provocative clothes to show all those brothers and sisters just how single we are?

– – Has the Internet become another vehicle for your idolatry of dating?

– – OR When someone comes to your Facebook – they see a disciple of Jesus LIVING FOR GOD’S GLORY!

– – They should see LIGHT!  They should see something HOLY!  They should see the GORY of GOD!

– – They should FEEL GOD’s PRESENCE when they visit disciple’s Facebook pages!

– – I’m not talking about religious and political statements.  I’m not talking about bible devotionals and religious memes, but examples of God moving through his movement!

– – Do you repost the link to the Good News Email?  Do you post the latest article you’ve read or sermon you heard from a movement preacher?

– – Do you repost baptisms?  Pictures and photos?  Your Facebook should be a “Faithbook” illustrating God’s GLORY.  “Tell all his wonderful acts!” (vs 2)

– – USE “Facebook” to share your faith.  Lujack Martinez used it to reach out to Cory Blackwell.  It led to Cory’s restoration and the conversion of his Daughter in the Kingdom!

– – The Internet and tools like Facebook and Instagram and Twitter will only be as EVIL as you allow yourself and your brothers and sisters to be!

– – Train shepherds/ministry staff to look!

– Teens/Parents/have to know the tech.  Who is friends with your kid.  Don’t use your age as an excuse!

– – Kip, typing.  Never too old to learn new things.

23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. (You must have….)

– – One brother being excellent and shining a glorious light!

– – What is going to happen when 2,000 disciples do the same!?

– – It will be a GLORIOUS LIGHT!  It’s going to take discipling, shepherding, and excellence to get us there!

As we learned from Jose Otera last night, GOD is ALMIGHTY, he calls the stars by name and our God has and will use the Internet for His purposes.

– – Just as darkness can be streamed on a billion smartphones, so can sermons in every language!

– – Just as men and women can use the Internet for idolatry, greed, and immorality – we must use it for spreading the good news of changed lives, baptisms, glorious kingdom weddings, and examples that shine in the darkness.

– it’s not for .com, commerce…we need to get .org’anized, and realize it’s the inter(national) NET, it’s a .net to catch men!
