A Day of Fasting & Prayer

My dearest brothers and sisters –

Below is a prayer request from our brother Kip for the Rajan family.  Raja & Debs were guest speakers at one of our All-Southwest Zoom services this past February.

Raja is currently hospitalized with COVID-19. Both of their daughters have it as does Debs. There are no vaccinations readily available there in India, unlike here in the US. New Delhi went back on complete lockdown last week. Even with their leaders both very sick and a lockdown, God still blessed the Delhi church with two teen baptisms. Raja and Debs oversee Bangalore and Chennai, both of which had a baptism last week as well.

This is all to God’s glory. Know this, Phoenix disciples, your prayers and your Special Missions offerings are supporting noble brothers and sisters on the front lines who are relentlessly preaching the gospel day-by-day and soul-by-soul. Let us imitate their examples of perseverance and joy in the face of suffering. When Christ returns, or when our time comes, may it be said of us as well that we persevered and we too identified as “The Disciple.”

Prayer & Fasting For Those Afflicted With COVID

Dear Mountain Mover Family,

Good morning from Orlando where Elena & I are visiting my mom for the first time in 15 months because of the pandemic. I just got off the phone with my son & daughter in the faith – and very close friends – Raja & Debs Rajan, who lead the South Asia Churches. Both have COVID-19 as well as their two daughters Shefali and Isheeta. Their son Ashwin just came to New Delhi from the mission field in Calcutta to take care of them. He knows he will most likely contract the virus. Raja has it quite badly and went to the hospital today. In Debs’ words, “He has an extremely high fever and an unbearable headache. He is completely bedridden.” Debs has a terrible cough and trouble breathing.

Though Americans have the opportunity to get a vaccine, most in the rest of the world do not. I saw first hand in January how our brother Blaise Feumba contracted COVID-19 became delirious, could not sleep for 10 days, and almost died. Therefore, I am proclaiming a worldwide fast for the Rajan Family and all with COVID-19 for the entire Movement. Pray that God will completely heal all of them as our work has been slowed to some degree.

I beg you, join me on Monday, April 26th for this fast that puts Raja & Debs back on their feet and calls upon our God to heal the others with COVID and thus many more souls will be won and eternity changed forever!
