“A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to him, crying out, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is suffering terribly from demon-possession…The woman came and knelt before him. “Lord, help me!” she said. He replied, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to their dogs.” “Yes, Lord,” she said, “but even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters’ table.” Then Jesus answered, “Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour.” – Matt 15:25-28
What an amazing account! This woman was so focused on Jesus and on the need of her daughter that she really did not care what anyone thought of her. She was not too good to “beg!” Her example teaches us that great faith is always accompanied with great humility! Today we are gathering to humbly ask those in our community for donations to our cause – the evangelization of the world in this generation!
We’ll be meeting at South Priest and West Elliot this morning at 9:00AM (map)
Not only will we be humbly asking for donations, but we’ll also be inviting people out to our House Church Services tomorrow which will be held all over Phoenix and the surrounding areas!
