All it takes is a “mustard seed” of faith, and our impossible prayers can be answered!
Impossible:
1. “Not able to occur, exist, or be done.”
2. “Very difficult to deal with.”
Impossible Prayers for The Year of the Impossible
Our movement’s exciting theme for this coming 2017 year is “The Year of The Impossible!” What are your impossible prayers? What are your impossible dreams and goals? The challenge for every disciple is to pick three “impossible prayers” for 2017 that we are going to share with those in our lives. Therefore, these “impossible prayers,” are things we believe are “not able to occur” or are “very difficult to deal with” in their scope or intensity. Perhaps our impossible prayer is for a family member becoming a disciple of Jesus. Maybe it’s a prayer for a circumstance, ailment, character change or a failure to deal with.
Matt 17:14-20
When they came to the crowd, a man approached Jesus and knelt before him. “Lord, have mercy on my son,” he said. “He has seizures and is suffering greatly. He often falls into the fire or into the water. I brought him to your disciples, but they could not heal him.” “O unbelieving and perverse generation,” Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy here to me.” Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of the boy, and he was healed from that moment. Then the disciples came to Jesus in private and asked, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?” He replied, “Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
Impossible Prayers Desperately Need Faith!
Because the disciples had unbelief and “so little faith!” they could not heal the little boy! Therefore, we desperately need faith! Faith comes from powerful bible study!(Romans 10:17) So we need to hear God’s message to build our faith! Since it is the holiday season, we should take advantage of the Internet Ministry and listen to sermons/messages from all over the Globe! We will be ineffective in HEALING people if we have low faith! When we have more faith there will be more healing and more people becoming disciples and God healing their lives! Nothing will be unable to “exist, occur, or be done” if we have a “mustard seed” of faith!
So, what are some of your personal “impossible prayers?” I’m praying for two new regions in Phoenix because I know with a “mustard seed” of faith it will happen. I’m also praying about a specific family member’s heart changing. With a “mustard seed” faith the mountain of a hardened-heart can move. Furthermore, we have a dream to initiate a church planting to be sent out by 2018! Lastly, we have a goal to grow by 52 in 2017!
In conclusion, you must ask yourself “What do I want to see occur, exist, or be done this year that seems IMPOSSIBLE!?” Most of all, ask yourself “Do I have my prayer list for 2017?” It’s time for all of us to pick three “impossible” prayers – and pray over them every single day starting today! We need to share our impossible prayers with the disciples in our lives! Write them on something you can see everyday, so you pray everyday faithfully for the impossible!
Consistent and Constantly – Impossible Prayers
Prayer focus: Zero in on the three impossible prayers for this year! Pray to be consistent and constantly in prayer about these impossible prayers! Strive to be like the “persistent widow” who never gave up and ask God for great faith! We must decide to confess and repent of any faith-leaching sins today! Find out other’s impossible prayers and join with them in prayer!
